Small Wonders. If you want to have a nice quiet lunch where the little ones are wreathed in smiles rather than suspicious scowls, you could do much worse than this outpost of Italy on the Kent coast. Its location and large terrace overlooking the North Sea are a definite draw for families. On sunny days, the views over a sandy bay are uplifting; but so too is the drama of enormous waves breaking on the jetty when the weather turns rough. Inside, there's excellent seafood for the adults, exuberant chefs who spin pizza dough on their fingers and an atmosphere of genuine Neapolitan bonhomie.
