Founded in 1994 by two culinary enthusiasts, Vincenzo and Espedito, Posillipo has become a renowned name in the culinary world. The story began when these two passionate individuals crossed paths at a prestigious culinary school on the Posillipo Hills, overlooking the enchanting city of Naples. Inspired by their shared love for food and their culinary expertise, they embarked on a journey that would shape the future of their lives.
In June 1994, the doors of Posillipo first opened in the charming coastal town of Broadstairs. The aroma of authentic Italian cuisine wafted through the cosy restaurant, captivating the hearts and taste buds of locals and visitors alike. Vincenzo and Espedito's dedication to quality ingredients, traditional techniques, and unrivalled flavors quickly earned them a loyal following. The success of their venture prompted them to expand their reach and open another restaurant in Canterbury in December 2004. With meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience, Posillipo Canterbury became a beloved destination for food enthusiasts craving genuine Italian flavors in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The year 2010 marked another milestone for Posillipo as they opened their third restaurant in the charming town of Faversham in March. This expansion was driven by the overwhelming demand from patrons who couldn't resist the allure of Posillipo's delectable offerings. Faversham welcomed Posillipo with open arms, embracing the rich culinary heritage that Vincenzo and Espedito brought to their community.
At Posillipo, family plays an integral role, as Maria, Vincenzo's talented sister, oversees the creation of the desserts. Her masterful touch adds a sweet and delightful ending to each meal, leaving customers craving more. Maria also takes care of our apartments, ensuring that every guest's stay is nothing short of perfection. Luca, Espedito's accomplished son, takes immense pride in serving as the head chef of the Broadstairs location. His expertise and passion for Italian cuisine shine through in every dish, as he channels his father's culinary wisdom and techniques passed down through the generations.
